FINANCE

The NGCDFC relies heavily on the National Government allocation channeled through the NGCDF Board to the constituency. This only source is inadequate to the constituents, thus it is advisable for NGCDFC to venture into beneficial ventures with other development partners including the private sector to advance the constituency development agenda. One of the key instruments of the NGCDFC MSME strategy is therefore the sustainable partnering with financial institutions for provision of finance and financial services to local small enterprises through financial institutions. The NGCDFC undertakes this function by encouraging community groups to get registered, then linking them up constituency level funds such as as Uwezo, Women and Youth Enterprise Development Funds. For this reason the NGCDFC shall seek for strategic partner donor organizations to continue financing and providing technical assistance programmes until this sustainability is secured, which can be a lengthy process.
