NG-CDF Board conducted an M&E exercise in Bomachoge Chache,Nyaribari Masaba and Kitutu Chache constituencies on 4th April 2017.This is one of the many routine field visits conducted by the Board as mandated by the NG-CDF (Amendment) Act 2016.

Courtesy Call at Deputy County Commissioner's (DCC) Office

The Board paid a courtesy call on the Gucha Sub-County DCC.The meeting was mainly intended to discuss on the dynamics of the constituency as well as the Sub-county at large.Present at the meeting were, the DCC,NG-CDF Secretariat and Bomachoge chache NG-CDF committee members.

Speaking during the meeting the Ag Chief Manager Programs, Madam Elizabeth Kitundu explained on the importance of the activity and commended the NG-CDF committee for formulating the Constituency Oversight Committee.

On her part the DCC madam Rebecca, welcomed the team and gave an assurance on security.She also gave the challenges facing the sub-county as follows:

  • illicit brew brewing and consumption leading to high insecurity and low productivity.
  • Low education standards.

Site Visits

Thereafter, the team embarked on the site visits in the three constituencies.Later the CEO joined the team.Speaking at one of the sites the Ag CEO laid emphasis on the following:

  • Project Management Committee Members (PMC)s should always be present at site meetings.
  • PMCs are entrusted by the law in implementing projects therefore, ensuring local ownership.
  • Constituencies should iron out governance issues.
  • Constituencies should provide ownership documents during/after implementing projects.
  • Constituencies should involve technical departments during the implementation of projects.
  • Specifications should be identified before implementing projects.
