The National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) Board has successfully concluded the second week of its nationwide Sensitization Programme for Members of the NG-CDF Committees (NG-CDFCs), Fund Account Managers and National Sub-County Accountants drawn from constituencies across the country.
The three-day programme, held concurrently in Eldoret,Embu and Mombasa brought together participants from 97 constituencies. The training is part of the Boardโs ongoing efforts to strengthen compliance with the legal and regulatory framework governing the Fund while addressing emerging issues identified through audits, Board assessments and other oversight mechanisms.
The sessions were graced by various leaders from the NG-CDF Board and the National Assembly Select Committee on NG-CDF
In Eldoret, the programme was led by Hon. Musa Sirma, EGH, MP, Chairperson of the National Assembly Select Committee on NG-CDF, alongside NG-CDF Board Director Hon. Kiplagat Sugut and Ag. Chief Executive Officer Mr. Benjamin Magut.
In Embu, the sessions were officially opened by NG-CDF Board Chairperson Hon. John Olago Aluoch, CBS
In Mombasa, participants were addressed by NG-CDF Board Director Mr. John Olela and Hon. Kassim Tandaza, MP, Vice Chairperson of the National Assembly Select Committee on NG-CDF.
Throughout the programme, participants were taken through key areas aimed at enhancing effective fund management, accountability and service deliveryย at the constituency level. They were encouraged to apply the knowledge gained to strengthen governance, promote transparency and ensure prudent utilization of public resources.
The sensitization programme continues as the Board works towards reaching all 290 constituencies, reinforcing its commitment to effective fund management and improved service delivery for wananchi across the country.
