NG-CDF Board Director Mr.John Olela, who represents the Principal Secretary, National Treasury, on the NG-CDF Board, today officially opened the second week of the Board’s nationwide sensitization programme for NG-CDF Committees from the Nairobi Region in Mombasa.
He noted that Nairobi constituencies operate in a unique environment as they serve the country’s capital city, where rapid urban growth, a large and diverse population, and increasing demand for public services require effective planning and responsible utilization of resources.
The three-day programme, facilitated by the NG-CDF Board Secretariat, is equipping committee members with practical skills in project planning and management, procurement, public finance management, risk management, monitoring and evaluation, digital transformation, and compliance.
Mr. Olela encouraged participants to uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, accountability ,compliance and transparency in the execution of their duties, noting that prudent management of public funds and resources is critical to improving service delivery and meeting the expectations of wananchi and ensuring the Fund continues to deliver meaningful development projects across constituencies.
The forum also provides an opportunity for participants to share experiences, discuss emerging challenges, and exchange ideas on how to strengthen implementation of NG-CDF projects in their respective constituencies.
