The Chief of Staff and Head of the Public Service, Mr. Felix Koskei, EGH, today led government officials, institutions and members of the local community in a tree-planting exercise at Chepkiep Forest in Nandi County.

Among those who took part was the NG-CDF Board Ag. Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Benjamin Magut, who joined other leaders in supporting the national tree growing programme.

The exercise formed part of an initiative targeting the planting of more than 150,000 indigenous tree seedlings during its first phase, in line with the President’s directive to increase the country’s tree cover.

Mr. Magut’s participation reflects the Board’s continued involvement in initiatives that support environmental conservation and the wellbeing of communities.
