The NG-CDF Board of Directors led by the Chairperson , Hon. Olago Aluoch, CBS,held a consultative retreat with the National Assembly Select Committee (NASC) on NG-CDF and Secretariat Heads of Department at PrideInn, Mombasa, themed ‘Strengthening Governance, Strategic Collaboration, Institutional Excellence, and Sustainable Impact through Digital Transformation.’ The retreat reviewed the Fund’s 2025/2026 performance, drew lessons for the Annual Report, aligned priorities for 2026/2027, and briefed NASC on the Smart NG-CDF digitalization programme. Opening the retreat, the Chairman of NASC, Hon. Musa Sirma, EGH, praised the Fund’s role in grassroots development and called for stronger governance, accountability, and institutional leadership.
Closing the retreat, the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Economic Planning Dr. Boniface Makokha commended the Board and the Acting CEO,Mr.Benjamin Magut for faster fund disbursement, sharper strategic messaging, and quicker project approvals, noting the Fund’s continued impact in education, security, and climate resilience, affirming that “NG-CDF is leaving no one behind.” He cited NG-CDF’s high project completion rate as a model worth emulating and reaffirmed the State Department’s support for the Fund’s role in the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.
