His Excellency, Dr. William Samoei Ruto, C.G.H, President of the Republic of Kenya,today, launched the Lamu Technical & Vocational College in Lamu East Constituency.
The project was co-funded by the Ministry of Education and NGCDF Lamu East.
Speaking during the event,His Excellency the President urged respective Members of Parliament to work closely with Members of County Assembly (MCA) to identify locations in their various wards where ICT hubs will be set up.
The NGCDF amendment bill proposes to set aside 3% of consitituency allocation towards ICT and this will go along way in exposing the constituents to digital jobs.
Also present during the event were His Excellency Deputy President Hon. Rigathi Gachagua, various cabinet secretaries, Members of Parliaments amongst other dignitaries.
