His Excellency, Dr. William Samoei Ruto, C.G.H, President of the Republic of Kenya,launches Kenya Medical Training College, Navakholo campus
His Excellency, Dr. William Samoei Ruto, C.G.H, President of the Republic of Kenya,today, launched Kenya Medical Training College, Navakholo campus .The project was fully funded by NG-CDF Navakholo and cost Kshs.104Million.
The project involved the purchase of 9.5 acres of land, construction of a one-storey building with 12 lecture halls, and construction of a one-storey administration block with 30 offices.
Speaking during the event,His Excellency the President urged respective Members of Parliament to work with NG-CDF to ensure appropriation of funds towards construction of additional facilities to enable operationalization of the KMTC colleges where need be to assist students acquire health related knowledge and competencies.
The new campus is a major boost to education and healthcare in Kakamega, and is a testament to the commitment of the NG-CDF Board to the Bottom-up Economic Transformational Agenda (BETA), with health being one of the key priority areas.
