The National Assembly Select committee on NG-CDF and the NG-CDF Board Directors joint retreat commenced yesterday.

The committee, chaired by Hon. Musa Sirma is mandated to oversee, inquire, and report all matters related to the implementation of the Fund.

Speaking during the meeting, the chair highlighted the need to increase the Fund due to the impact witnessed countrywide.

Members were keen to know the number of project proposals from constituencies that have been approved by the Board in the current financial year (2023/2024)

On his part NG-CDF CEO Mr. Yusuf Mbuno assured members that most constituencies proposals had been approved and the few pending ones will be approved as soon as issues raised are resolved.

44 constituencies project proposals were yet to be fully approved by the time of the retreat.
