The Board is happy to announce yet another milestone achieved in its journey towards positively impacting society. The National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) Board Director, Abdiaziz Yarrow, NG-CDF Board CEO Yusuf Mbuno, alongside the area MP, Hon Hussein Weytan, recently took part in the launching of a fully equipped tuition block of 4 classrooms funded under the Board’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in the 2021/2022 Financial Year at Buruburu Girls Secondary School, Mandera East constituency.

The team further monitored previously funded projects implemented under the same program in the school. They included the construction of 1 No. 50,000-liter underground water tank, 1 No. 10,000 elevated water tower, and water reticulation works funded in the 2020/2021 Financial Year, as well as the construction and equipping of 4 classrooms, a kitchen, and 8 No. pit latrines funded in the 2019/2020 Financial Year.

These projects will benefit over 500 girls and provide the much-needed infrastructure to support education and improve sanitation in the school.
