Chavakali boys high school was a buzz of activity yesterday when Sabatia Constituency organised a sports tournament in conjunction with NGCDF dubbed “sloya cup”.

A team from the NGCDF Board led by Ms. Christine Mwangolo, presented football balls to the teams to support the Derby.

Hon. Clement Sloya, area MP, while speaking at the event, applauded the teams for their hard work and also emphasized that such events are used to curb gender-based violence, drug abuse and also as unifying grounds to bring various leaders together despite party affiliations for the sake of their constituents’ well being.

The event was attended by various leaders from the Western Region, including Hon. Sen. Osotsi Godfrey, Hon. George Aladwa, Hon. Dick Maungu and several members of the county assembly.
